Welcome to Octagon Cleaning Services. These Terms and Conditions govern the cleaning services we provide to residential and commercial customers in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and surrounding areas. By booking, scheduling, or using our services, you agree to the terms outlined on this page.
Our goal is to provide professional, reliable cleaning services while maintaining clear expectations for both our customers and our team. If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us before booking a service.
Booking and Confirmation
Bookings may be requested through our website contact form, by phone, email, or through other approved communication channels. A booking is not considered confirmed until you receive confirmation from Octagon Cleaning Services. Confirmation may be provided by email, phone, text message, or another agreed-upon method. When requesting a booking, you are responsible for providing accurate information about:
- The property location
- The type of cleaning service required
- The size and condition of the property
- Preferred service dates and times
- Any special instructions relevant to the cleaning
Providing incomplete or inaccurate information may affect pricing, scheduling, or the scope of service.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of the cleaning service unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Invoices, where applicable, must be paid according to the payment terms stated on the invoice. Late payments may result in:
- Additional administrative fees
- Interest charges were permitted by law
- Suspension of future bookings until outstanding balances are paid
You agree to pay all applicable charges related to the services provided.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please provide at least 12 hours before your scheduled appointment.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests received with less than the required notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee helps cover scheduling disruptions and reserved service time that may not be filled on short notice. We reserve the right to waive cancellation fees at our discretion in exceptional circumstances.
Scope of Service
The services provided will be based on the scope of work agreed upon at the time of booking. This may include details such as:
- Service type
- Areas to be cleaned
- Cleaning frequency
- Special requests
- Estimated service duration
Any additional tasks requested after the booking has been confirmed may result in additional charges if they require extra time, labour, equipment, or materials.
If our team determines that the property’s condition differs significantly from what was originally described, we may discuss revised pricing or service options before proceeding.
Access to Property
You are responsible for providing safe and timely access to the property at the scheduled appointment time. This includes:
- Providing keys, access codes, or entry instructions when required
- Securing pets where necessary
- Informing us of any hazards, restrictions, or safety concerns
If our team cannot access the property upon arrival, a lockout fee or cancellation fee may apply. Delays caused by unavailable access may also affect the completion of scheduled services.
Liability and Damage
Octagon Cleaning Services takes reasonable care when working in your home, office, or commercial property. While we make every effort to protect your belongings and property, accidents can occasionally occur. If you believe damage has occurred during a cleaning service, you must notify us within 24 hours of the completed service.
When reporting a concern, please provide:
- A description of the issue
- Photographs where applicable
- Relevant details regarding the affected item or area
Our liability for any verified claim is limited to the value of the cleaning service performed during the appointment in question, except where otherwise required by applicable law. We are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage
- Normal wear and tear
- Improperly installed fixtures or materials
- Damage resulting from faulty workmanship by third parties
- Items that are unstable, loose, or improperly secured before service
Satisfaction Guarantee
Customer satisfaction is important to us. If you are not satisfied with a portion of the cleaning service provided, please contact us as soon as possible after your appointment. We will review the concern and determine an appropriate resolution based on the circumstances.
Right to Refuse or Discontinue Service
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or discontinue service when conditions present a risk to our team, the customer, or the property. Examples may include:
- Unsafe working conditions
- Aggressive or threatening behaviour
- Harassment of staff
- Presence of hazardous materials
- Severe infestations
- Conditions that create health or safety concerns
- Situations requiring specialised remediation services
If service is discontinued after work has begun, charges may apply for the time already spent on site.
Changes to These Terms
From time to time, we may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in our services, business practices, or legal requirements. Updated versions will be posted on our website and will become effective upon publication. Your continued use of our services after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
